अपनी सब्जी और फलों का सेवन बढ़ाएं। प्रति दिन 2,000 कैलोरी खाने वाले व्यक्ति को प्रति दिन लगभग 250 ग्राम सब्जियां और 250 ग्राम फल खाने चाहिए। अमेरकिन रिसर्च सीडीसी की 2015 की एक रिपोर्ट में पाया गया कि केवल 10 में से 1 व्यक्ति पर्याप्त फल और सब्जियां खाता है। हम में से आधे लोग प्रति दिन 250 ग्राम से कम फल और सब्जियों का सेवन करते हैं।

विभिन्न प्रकार की सब्जियां का सेवन करे – विशेष रूप से गहरे हरे, लाल और नारंगी सब्जियां – बीन्स और मटर।
